A Case Study of a Stage Two Pressure Sore Treated with Sipjeondaebo-tang Extract

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective: To evaluate the effects of Sipjeondaebo-tang (十全大補湯) extract on a stage two pressure sore.
Methods: Sipjeondaebo-tang extract (5 g) was given three times a day to a treat the pressure sore.
Results: The pressure sore in the sacrococcygeal region was improved. A second pressure sore ofthe right greater trochanter region, which emerged during the study, was also improved.
Conclusions: Sipjeondaebo-tang extract may represent an effective treatment for pressure sores, but further studies are needed.
